I am a hard working wife, mother, principal of an elementary school, and now suddenly, a Mental Health Advocate for my son and other people like him. We must TALK about mental health and get hurting people the help they need. The stigma that is attached to mental illness is a tragedy! As a family, we are living through the storms, the ups and downs, and the difficulties that mental health issues can bring. I believe that part of my journey is to help other families in need. When we were thrust into the world of mental illness, this was the resource I needed and since I couldn’t find one, I decided to create it for you. We are not alone, my friend, and we will get through this.
